Red Hat EL 4.7 failes to install from DVD iso

I try to install Red Hat 4.7 by using an DVD iso image. The size of the image is 2344013824 bytes. The image has the MD5 sum:
I get the following error:

The package rpm-libs-4.3.3-26_nonptl can not be opened. The installer suggests that there is a problem with the CD-ROM.
I have tried to install different sets of packages. But this results only in an error at a different package.
Where is the problem? Is this a known bug? Is there a problem with the file size? How can I solve this?
I have used the image to install RHEL 4.7 as guest in Vmware server 2.0.1. So the image file is ok.ee5092653732a88ddbaf8eef2484c500 RHEL4.7-i386-AS-DVD.iso
