Uncommanded VM Pause...

I'm runnning Vbox 3.0.4 r50677 on Ubuntu 8.04/32bit with 4GB of installed ram.. Have several other vm's in this installation, which all work fine.
My problem is this: am trying to install OpenSuSE 11 guest, from the small network-install ISO. The ISO loads, boots to the install menu, immediately after the "kernel loading" progress bar closes, I get a "Close virtual machine - save machine state/power off machine" dialog and the upper window indicates the vm is paused.. If I click cancel the vm closes.. I tried saving the state and then resuming and it continues to do this each time I try to boot the installer ISO.. Any idea what's going on here??

An upgrade to 3.0.6 r52128 seems to have fixed it....
