[Solved] Trying to Install Virtual Box on my laptop

Post by Runji »

I'm trying to install VirtualBox 3.0.4 for Windows hosts x86/amd64 on my Alienware, which is running the most up to date version of Windows XP. When it starts the installation process, it gives me an error message saying:

Software Installation:
The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.(Tell me why this testing is important.)
Continuing your installation of this software may impair or may destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the software vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo testing.

Continue Anyway or STOP Installation

The above message is what I am getting.

If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I am completely new to Virtual Box.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Thank you very much!
I had to click it like 12 times, but it finally started working and I'm now running Ubuntu with it =)

Thanks again!
