Constant interuption of VBox installation under Win XP SP3

Post by agrozdanov »

Hello there:
My name is Asen and although I am very new in usage of VirtualBox I saw it is power already. I am facing the following problem:
I have Win XP SP3 and I am trying to install Win 2000 and Solaris 10 in VBox v. 3.0.4 r. 50677. It is done once per 5 trials. The often problem is once the installation reaches the point when the start menu start to be created the process is interrupted and started over again. And for Solaris that happened on 96% of installation.
Please help me with this because I need to run it!
Thank you in advance
Best Regards,
Asen

You are going to need to share with us the Host information and the settings that you are trying to use in the guest. Include all information so we can see what the problem is.

W2k Guest is in the manual, read it, make the modification that is needed and run the installer from the start.

On Windows, click Start > Run and enter "cmd". In the command prompt, navigate to the installation folder of VirtualBox (usually C:\Program Files\Sun\VirtualBox). There you can run the VBoxManage.exe command.
