network connection between the host and guests

hi every body
i want help about this problem.
i can't access my virtual gests ( windows xp sp2) since the host (vista)
although i read virtualbox help about the topic (choosing among nat, Bridged networking,
Internal networking, Host-only networking), i can't access files on my guest since the host.
please help!
