I split your post to a new topic, because you're way off-topic where you posted it. And you were trying to hijack it. Read the Forum Posting Guide for our rules.

If you're connected to the internet directly through your ADSL modem, meaning you have no router or whatever, then Bridged is the last thing you use. Your ISP provides only ONE IP address, and that's already taken by the Host. The Guest won't be able to get an IP address.
If you want internet on the Guest, you should have read the User Manual and attach it to NAT. That's the most basic and easy internet solution.

You really can't read properly, can you? I told you, USE NAT. That's the default and most simple setting to get internet on the Guest.

Then you should have said so. Check the VirtualBox FAQ for some additional help, which you should have already checked.

No useful info, what wasn't useful? Checked your primary DNS server? Any third party firewalls on your Host that could block VB? Tested IP based access to a website as mentioned in the FAQ? You're not really trying connectivity by only pinging a website, are you?

I don't use nor have Yahoo.

Anyway, please list the IP configuration of the Guest and Host. You do have the Guest set to use DHCP right?

That's not a real solution. NAT should just work, router or not. NAT even works on Dial-up!

I use windows server 2003 as guest in virtualbox. I read a topic in MCSE book(Windows XP proffesional) that windows server can not be used in ICS(internet connection sharing) networks! It means that my problem is for windows server that can't use ICS!!!

Is it true?
