I am running Virtualbox 3.0.4 under OpenSuse 11.1 x64 as the host. My network connection is in bridge mode.
Under heavy network load (i.e. open multiple websites or multiples download), network on the guests would stop responding and won't come back until I restart VirtualBox and the guests. Is there someway for me to troubleshoot it? Any commands/log files I should be paying attention to? I would like to be able to resurrect the dead connections without having to restart the guests.
Also on My Win 2003 Server once I disconnect the network interface through the Virtualbox GUI I can't reattach it. My windows guest still report that the cable is disconnected even after I reattach the interface. The only way to fix this is to restart the guest as well.
I think the two problem are related in someway because if I can somehow "reset" the connection by disconnect and reconnect the network interface without having to restart the guest then it would take care of both problem.
