linux host on USB
I am new to this forum. I did a search by usb but had no hits so I am apologize if this has been asked before. I have a small linux build that I downloaded that is designed to be run from a usb stick. Is it possible to install virtualbox and have it run from the linux on the usb stick? I am trying to configure a utility usb stick. I have a 64gb usb stick that I would like to run linux with the virtual box and have it load an xp virtual machine, or a win pe virtual machine, or a windows 7 virtual machine. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Re: linux host on USB
actually i did what youre trying to do several years ago with Mandriva 2007.
I wanted to carry Linux with me, but needed to have my offices VPN (which is XP only) with me as well.
Depending on which USB Linux youre using (and there are MANY) its not incredibly difficult, however I would STRoNGLY suggest as LARGE of a USB key as you can afford.
although I never had the issue, folks who purchased their USB distros from MDV were constantly running into issues with theur USB keys filling up.
I put mine on a 16GB and never had any issues
