[Solved] Can't load x64 XP guest on x64 Win7 host

I'm running version 3.0.4 on a Windows 7 Enterprise x64 RTM host. When I attempt to start installation of Windows XP Pro x64 in a new VM, I get the message, "Attempting to load an x64 operating system, however this CPU is not compatible with x64 mode. Please install a 32-bit x86 operating system."
What's up with that?

Does your CPU support VT-x and is it enabled in the bios?

No. I thought that was only necessary for running a 64-bit OS on a 32-bit host.

It's always needed. It's in the
VirtualBox FAQ and Manual.

Thanks.
Guess I'll look elsewhere.
