[Solved] how to install office on VB

i put the cd in but it dosent pop up in vb and there is no drive to click to start it.. how do i install a program?

Office must be installed in a Windows operating system. Install a Windows OS and then install Office.

well i have vista installed on the VB, after i open the vista VB i put in my MS office cd and nothing happens. i looked upnder my computer and there is no cd drive listed just a floppy, and the defult drivers for vb in C; (i installed those already if that matters)

Boot the guest and then look at the top left of the window for devices. See if the CD/DVD is mounted. If it is and you still do not see it then click un-mount and the click mount to force it to re-read the mount. Make sure that your install CD is in the drive.

dose this matter that it is a burned backup copy of my Office? its a legal copy its just i got by DL and burned it to cd for backup. dose vista inside the vm work pretty much like actual vista?

It should not matter if you copied it correctly. and Vista should work close to the way it does native. There are a few restrictions that have to deal with graphics.
