how to uninstall 3.0.4 from ubuntu

i cant find a uninstalle anywhere! is there a terminal code?
also is there a 64 bit VB and 32bit VB cause mine freezes when i try to shutdown.

Thats not a VBOX Problem. Learn to use the Package Management from your Distro.

So, apt-get purge VirtualBox-3.0. Installing the 32 bit package on 64 bit Ubuntu won't work, other way around either. You're having some system problem, outside that of VB. Freezing during shutdown, what freezes? Your system when you shut down the Host?

no my system works fine its the actual vbox, i can start it up fine and yous it without any problems, its when i try to close it. if i try to "shut down" or "turn off" a load screen come up it loads to 70% then freezes, it i try to "save state" the load screen will get to 100% and then freeze, i left it alone over night thinking that it may just need time and it still didnt close

btw, i didnt install this through Package manager so i thought it could not be uninstalled from there, spread the love not the insults

Then what and how did you install it? Your profile states OSE other, so it didn't come from the website here. If you grabbed a tarball from somewhere and simply extracted, we can't offer much help because it's possible it's a borked build.

i grabbed it from a websight, however i just installed the one from PM and its dose the same thing, after i unistalled the one from the site and installed the one from PM it still had my profile from the old one, how do i compleatly uninstall this program?

Remove all packages in your package manager, remove the one from the website too (if it's a .run file, run it from a command line with --uninstall). In your Home folder, you will have a hidden folder called .VirtualBox. If you remove that, all your machines and settings will be removed. You have to install them again.
