Only installed Virtual Box yesterday on my Linux (Ubuntu 9.04 - 32 bit) laptop.
Have managed to get XP to install and boot without any problems.
However, whenever I try to install Vista 64bit (my laptop has a 64 bit processor) it causes my host to restart once the 'loading files' page gets to full.
Before the loading screen starts Virtual Box gives me a warning saying that it is optimised for 32 bit colour and the host is running 24 bit and that I should change it in the host but obviously I cant do that because it is just the boot CD. Could this be what is causing the problem?
If not is the problem that I am running a 32 bit host operating system but trying to install a 64 bit guest?
I've had no problems with the XP install I did.
I'd appreciate any help I can get on this so thanks in advance.
