Hi everyone!
I tried a lot to find a solution for my problem in the Internet, but I could not, so you are my las hope.
I have a notebook with Windows Vista as Hostsystem and I use VirtualBox 3.0.4 with Ubuntu 8.10 as Guest system.
I need to use bluetooth in the ubuntu system. My notebook already has an integrated bluetooth adapter. I tried to pass it to the VirtualBox by adding as a USB Device. In Ubuntu the adapter was recognized and I could discover my mobile phone and add it as a new device. But I can't transfer any data neither from my mobile phone to the notebook/VirtualBox(Ubuntu) nor from the notebook/VirtualBox(Ubuntu) to the mobile phone.
When I try to transfer a picture from the phone to the notebook I get the message on the phone : "Failed to connect with vista-0".
When I try to transfer a picture from the notebook to the phone I get the message: "org.openobex.Error.ConnectionAttemptFailed".
Does anybody know why is that?
In the ubuntu system I have installed the following packages:
- bluetooth
- bluez
- bluez-alsa
- bluez-cups
- bluez-gnome
- bluez-gstreamer
- bluez-utils
- libbluetooth3
- gnome-bluetooth
- obextool
- obexfs
- obexftp
- obexpushd
Do I need any specific ubuntu packages because I have Ubuntu on the VirtualBox and not as a host system?
I also tried to use an external Bluetooth USB Stick, but the results and the problems are the same.
It would be great, if anybody could help me. I am writing my master thesis now and I realy need the bluetooth stuff on the virtualbox.
Best regards
Anna
