[Solved] I seem to be missing a basic concept

Post by Ztruker »

I installed VirtualBox under Windows 7 RC1. Created a virtual machine where I want to install XP Pro, but no matter what I try, all I ever get is

FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted.

I've tried mounting the XP Install cd in my DVD (H:) drive, get the above error.
Created a iso image and mounted that, same error.

SO I must be missing something basic but I can't find it in the documentation or here on the forum.

Can someone point me to where to start? Link, document, tip .....

Here is my XP Pro setup:

Mea Culpa

The CD would not boot from my DVD-RW drive. I've used it before and it was okay.
Found my XP Pro SP2 CD and it boots okay.

Sorry for wasting anyones time.

Now for some fun.
