Do a 'route print' and look at the default gateway, thats where all traffic is going to, you probably need an extra routing statement for traffic on the LAN, that is if this can be differenciated by subnet or single ip address.

Do you have the VM settings like shown in the attachments below? My first NIC is called Marvell, because I have two wired NICs on my motherboard using different chips and I then know which one is which. I don't like the ethx names. I use Linux as Host, but that shouldn't matter for the networking settings.

Now with the settings like this, you should be able to access both networks whenever the Host has connection to either or both networks.

I think I did the "route print" correctly (again I'm not an IT guy) and here's the result but I don't know what all of this means. You say I may need an extra routing statement, can you please explain?

Yes I did try setting like that but than neither the wireless nor LAN would work.
By the way, if you can tell me how to put a screen shot into my post like you just did I'll be able to show you exactly how I have it configured.

And what is the properties of the NIC? Start > Connections > pick a NIC > Properties. You must have a checkbox next to the VirtualBox Bridge service, though if you didn't have it, you wouldn't be able to select the NIC in the VM settings.

Can you summarize your problem again? It's getting a bit cluttered with replies and all.

This is basically my problem. I want to be able to setup adapter1 to use the wireless connection on my host PC and adapter2 to use the LAN connection.

All your traffic is going to "Default Gateway: 192.168.168.168", which one is that? should that adapter be disconnected and the gateway doesn't change the traffic is going nowhere.

Is the wired and wireless connection the same network? If so, then don't connect to both at the same time. If it isn't, then setting the same kind of configuration on the Guest as you have on the Host should be enough. Can you post the IP configuration of both interfaces on the Host and Guest? If it's DHCP it's even better, but we still need the actual addresses that are given to the interfaces (ipconfig /all).

I have no idea where that default gateway is setup. I don't have a default gateway setup anywhere.

Looks OK to me. Your wireless is connected, the wireless bridge in the Guest is working. Now if you would switch from wireless to wired, disconnecting from the wireless network of course, will switch the configuration inside the Guest to the other interface as it should.

Btw, edit your post so the command prompt output is in code blocks. I did it with your previous post, hoping you would see it and do it yourself next time.

I thought it just came in that way. Sorry. Obviously I'm pretty new to this.
So from what you're saying, everything looks fine and it should work?
Maybe I need to look into another solution. I wanted to use VirtualBox to run a variety of different software so that my main PC won't get bogged down or have any unexpected conflicts. This is my main tool for work so I'm trying to keep it in good working order. Thanks for all of the help

Because the default gateway is tied to the wireless bridge, like I said traffic has nowhere to go. Either add another gateway (route add) with a higher metric, or maybe disable/enable the Guest LAN connections so the gateway gets adjusted.
