My microphone is not working. I installed Realtek AC'97 drivers, but microphone still not working.What should I do? Host Windows XP Pro, guest Windows 7 RC.

There is a problem.
The sound does not recordings under Windows XP: mixer stereo/mono, a microphone and other sound!!!

I don't see any mention in the VirtualBox manual of direct support for audio input devices. Your microphone is connected to your host, not your VM, and I don't see any "mount" option for a host microphone.

Possibly you could get a USB soundcard to work, if that supports an audio input.

Perhaps RDP supports audio input devices - I don't know because I've never used RDP.

I PLAY a sound in Windows. (wav, mp3, ogg)
In native Windows a normal sound of capture.
I cannot CAPTURE a sound in VirtualBox.

I wish to write down a sound which plays already in Windows.
