Capturing OS Image as .VDI or other image to use in ViBox

Post by septoid2 »

Hello,

So here's what I'd like to do. I have a school laptop that has a Windows XP image that has custom applications and is automatically joined to my schools domain allowing me use to their numerous campus printers. However, I hate using the image and I almost always default to dual-booting Linux on this laptop. However I'd like to know if theres a way to capture my laptops default image in a .VDI or similar file format and import it to Virtualbox with a Linux (Ubuntu) host so I can run it as a guest OS.

I've seen this done using VMWare but I'd rather use VirtualBox. Can anyone provide me with any insight or a solution?
