Not ping Virtualhost in FreeBSD
Hi!
I install WindowsXP as a Virtual Machine in FreeBSD 7.2
So I created bridge and tap interfaces for working network in Virtual Machine.
I used command fo create interfce in VirtualBox:
VBoxManage modifyvm "Windows" -nic1 bridged -bridgeadapter1 rl0 -nictrace1 on
Windows has Netcard with IP 192.168.100.100 ( ping Ok)
FreeBSD has netcard with IP 192.168.100.200 ( ping Ok)
But I can't ping each other.
What's it?
Thank's

Re: Not ping Virtualhost in FreeBSD
I create tap and bridge with command
ifconfig bridge0 create
ifconfig tap0 create
ifconfig bridge0 addm tap0 addm rl0 up
Where "rl0" - physical interface with IP 192.168.100.200/24
ifconfig bridge0 create
ifconfig tap0 create
ifconfig bridge0 addm tap0 addm rl0 up
Where "rl0" - physical interface with IP 192.168.100.200/24

No ping ( ping only localhost and local IP)
No traceroute
I try create Vbox under root.
No result.

Re: Not ping Virtualhost in FreeBSD
Virtual Machine (Windows XP IP - 192.168.100.100) can't ping parent (FreeBSD - IP 192.168.100.200) and can't ping gateway (IP 192.168.100.1)
Traceroute from Windows - no path
Traceroute from Windows - no path
Re: Not ping Virtualhost in FreeBSD
That indicates the bridge isn't working at all, vbox version?
