Bootup Screen?

If I install VirtualBox on my xp computer and restart it will it bootup VirtualBox Instead of the xp bootup screen?

1 more thing if i install Ubuntu whould I still be able to get back to windows xp? sorry im a complete noob to this linux stuff and i dont want to break my computer.
