I am trying to run Windows 95 under Virtualbox 3.0.4 (PLEU for Debian Lenny). I have read the tutorial, and was able to install Windows, however I am getting a black screen after the Win 95 logo. I have configured my machine with 64MB of ram, 8MB of video ram, and a 1GB HDD. I have ensured that ACPI, IO APIC, and vt-x/AMD-v are disabled. If I start up Win95 in safe mode, it works fine. If I step through the installtion manually, I get to the point where it asks if I want to "Load all Windows drivers" and then I get the black screen.
What can I do to get Windows 95 working?

Re: Black screen with Windows 95
You might go for custom setup on a VM as bare bones as possible (so try to keep Win from looking for hardware as much as possible); next try to have it boot on its own, see what it is detecting and add VM features gradually (which means many boots, admitted) but it should allow you to get further (and perhaps pinpoint the troublesome driver).

Make sure you have USB disabled as well as USB wasn't available in the Windows 95 days.
