Hello,
I currently have VB 3.0.2 installed on Windows XP 64 SP2, and I'm getting an error notification in the system tray of the host alerting me that the host-only network adapter has "limited or no connectivity", with or without VB running. The IP address is listed as 169.254.139.189, which isn't correct. I tried attaching a VM to the host-only network, but I couldn't get it to function (could not ping the host from the guest, etc). Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!

Open the main VB GUI, then go to File > Preferences. In there, you can set the IP address of the Host-Only adapter. Doing that will get rid of the error, and make VMs work properly with that option. You can even enable the DHCP server for it, so you don't have to manually set the Guest with an IP.

Re: Host-Only network "Limited or no connectivity" on VB 3.0.2
Thanks, doing that cleared the error and now when I set a VM to use host-only I can ping the host but I still cannot ping the guest from the host. I'll keep trying.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Guest might have a firewall running, preventing ping traffic.
