HOST: Windows XP Pro SP2
GUEST: Windows XP Pro SP2
HOST: Added to domain1
GUEST: Added to domain2
The host is connected via VPN to domain1 prior to logging in at the host login screen. Then once logged in the guest is loaded and connects to domain2 without the need for connecting via VPN. The host domain account (domain1) is not getting locked out and remains fine, however every time I reboot the host system after having used the guest virtual box, the guest AD domain account (domain2) gets locked out. This means I need to constantly unlock the account.
The reason I am doing it this way is because I need to be able to access both domains from one machine. I have 2 screens, one for the host domain (domain1) and the other I use for the virtual box guest (domain2).
If anyone can help me resolve this issue so that the guest domain user account does not keep locking out then I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
John

You have to check the user properties in Domain2 for that. Also check the domain group policies. I really don't see why this is a VB problem, it can happen on normal systems too.

This can happen with NAT, Bridge should work better.

Re: Active Directory Account Locking Out
Yes I agree and have had experience with this problem before when not using VB. However this particular lockout problem only occurs when using the VB and only started to occur to this domain account when I started to use VB. The domain account was in use for at least a year without problems before I started using VB. Also I have a laptop that I use on the same domain as the guest (domain2 but different account) which has a similar problem (although slightly different setup). My domain account on my laptops guest locks out about twice a week on average. The host is not added to a domain and just connects to a normal home style wireless network (XP PRO SP3). The guest then connects to doamin2 via VPN. Once again this domain account was in use long before I started using VB and didn't have the problem until I started using VB. Becasue of the similarity of these two setups and the similarity of the issue, I beleive it has something to do with VB.You have to check the user properties in Domain2 for that. Also check the domain group policies. I really don't see why this is a VB problem, it can happen on normal systems too.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I am using bridge. I am also using bridge on the other system (laptop) I mention.
Has anyone else had domain account lockout issues using VB?
