i have one virtual HD
i want to duplicate it,
and then associate it to a second machine.

i got an error that this disk can't be registered because there's allready HD with the same ID

what can i do to use 2 machines with cloned HD

(to create a new HD for each machine is a pain)

Check the Tutorial: All about VDIs, that mentions how to get rid of the error. VBoxManage internalcommands sethduuid <full file path>.

Messages? this command works 100% so you're doing something wrong.

ok, my mistake
it works as just you showed
fast and easy.

i wonder if there gonna be a GUI command to do that
EDIT: or simply remove that restriction,
let different machines run with same UUID (Microsoft Virtual PC can).

anyway , thank you very much.
