vt-x/amd-v

Post by jane »

hi all.
I have a dell studio xps, windows vista home premium 64 bit authentic.
I want to create a virtual machine with the same OS (to test programs, and others, witout doing mess on my original system).
created the virtual machine, insered the vista dvd and starting install... an error message occurs: " VT-x / AMD-v enabled, but not working. check for BIOS setting". I went to BIOS and set the virtualization to "enabled" (prior was disabled, but virtual box said it was enabled).
restart pc and try to re-install...same problem and the guest windows doesn't reveal the 64 bits processor.
how con I do?
thanks in advance
