[Solved] OpenSuSe screen width

Post by msylve3 »

** Newbie question **

I just installed virtual box 3.0.4 on my Windows XP sp3 machine. The guest OS is openSuSe 11.

Everything is well except for the screen width of openSuSe. If I enlarge the window in which SuSe is, the desktop of SuSe does not get bigger, it is just the same size as before but centered. I have the same problem if I go into fullscreen mode. I looked around in both SuSe and Virtual box menus, but I haven't been able to successfully change anything.

Any hints?

Thanks in advance,

Are the guest additions installed?

I feel like an idiot but I am not sure what you are talking about... I have followed the installation steps from an external website that does not mention these!

I have just checked the end user Virtual box manual. If I understand properly, I need to get the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso and install it.

Thanks
