changing cpuid and other original hardware signatures

Hi,
I am trying to install a virtual box of windows xp on my vista laptop.

I would like this virtual box to be completely virtual ie not taking any of the real hardware signatures from the orig pc. (cpu id and so on)
This is needed for a client I am installing and I need it to think I am installing on a different machine.

I have done some testing (using Hardware ID extractor and GetHardwareInfo) and saw that my CPUID is similar on my original OS and on the virtual winxp OS.

If someone knows how to change this, I would thank you very much.

This question was asked before, and the response then was that it isn't possible. It's too much work to rewrite the CPU ID and can cause some major problems or bugs. Maybe you can find something on the internet to change it during run time or something, like a program running in the background and reporting a different CPU ID to programs that look it up.
