Hello,
I am trying to run a 64bit guest on a 64bit host, but without VT support. I already learned that this is not directly possible. Since I only installed that 64bit OS (Ubuntu 9.04) in order to run this 64bit guest, I might as well install the 32 Bit Ubuntu Version on the host and run VBox 32Bit on it, emulating a 64Bit CPU for the guest. As I understand the manual, this should be possible.
What performance could I expect? The guest machine will be a Debian samba/apache server w/o GUI/Xorg, for testing purposes. The host is a Pentium DualCore @ 2.5 GHz, with 2 GB RAM.
Thanks,
Andreas

That won't work without VT either.
Sun really need to fix the requirement for VT when running 64-on-64 though.
