How to install virtual machine on another disk?

hi everybody!
so i want to install a windows server on an ubuntu 8.10. now when i try to create a disk space for the machine under /media/disk/ it complains about permission. how to overcome this problem?

Thats not an VBOX Problem. Ask in an Ubuntu Forum how to setup permissions for a USer.

Why "/media/df.vdi" if you want it as "/media/disk/df.vdi" ?

Check the VBox file permissions - I had a similar issue because I had restored a copy - it was restored as owner "root", and worked fine when I changed all the file permissions to my normal user.
