I have searched and all I have found is info on older versions, I have 3.0.4

With the network settings set to Cable Connect = true and
NAT: I can connect to the web, but the VPN hangs on checking username and password
Host-Only Adapter: No internet, no VPN
Host-Only Adapter(W/ Bridged host): No internet, no VPN
Bridged Adapter(W/ Bridged host): No internet, no VPN

Any ideas? Thank you, Jamie

See section 6.4.3. NAT limitations in the VirtualBox Users Guide.

You would need to use bridged, (if you have a router) or a VPN client that supports simple tcp/ip. (MS version more than likely will not work since it relies on GRE, PPTP)
Also you would need to make sure that the ports for VPN are not being blocked by a firewall.

whenever I bridge the VirtualBox Host-Only Network with my network card, it gives the Bridge an IP of 192.168.56.X but my network is on 192.168.1.X

my pc is static IP at 192.168.1.199, how do I fix this?

OK, so I just gave everything static IPs and that seemed to solve my problem

I tried to log in to my wireless network with my laptop and for some reason it was getting an IP address of 192.168.56.X, in order to get it to connect correctly I had to delete the bridge from my PC, any ideas as to what is going on here and how to fix it?
