virtualbox.org

I have used "http://www.howtoforge.com/fedora_dynamic_dns" with vmware from Jan. 2007.

But everytime changing vmware to virtualbox, I should face this problem.

Frist I imported vmdk, and booting is no problem, however from reinstallation of centos 5.3 this "dynamic dns" has a problem.
"test.dyndns.org" could not be browsed in and out of virtualbox, even ping 192.168.0.14 was working and browsing in and out of virtualbox.

Any comment on this problem would be appreciated.

The site works on my end, so you probably have a DNS issue. Check the resolv.conf of your Guest. Also note which network setting you're using, VB uses different methods and IP ranges compared to VMW.

As far as I remmber, at vbox 2.0.x virtualbox successfully works with my dynamic dns through "Host Interface - maybe".
But this version's network could not work with dynamic dns.

What exactly have you set on the Host and Guest as IP configuration? And which network type are you using with the VM? Accessing dyndns.org is nothing more than a simple website. Can you access other websites from the Guest?
And if you DO see the dyndns.org site, but it doesn't work, did you read the page itself? It uses some nasty ActiveX elements, and only MS has that junk.

I've solved this problem.

At vmware and vista, there were sample problems and the under-mentioned link solved this.

At windows 7, the powershell script doesn't work, but editing registry still works for me.

I assigned "Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (Bridged adapter, and my lan card).
This gave me 192.168.0.x which is my nerwork ip nembers on windows 7 box and router.
