guest OS limits

I am confused by this page:

http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Guest_OSes

I am trying to determine which linux OS can be installed as guest OS (linux host in my case)

Under the "Linux Family" it states:

"Generally, all 2.4 and 2.6 kernels work; however, we recommend 2.6.13 or above for better performance. Kernels 2.6.18 to 2.6.18.2 contain a race condition (which was unfortunately backported to the Ubuntu 6.06 Server and 6.10 kernels) that can cause boot crashes in virtual machines."

However, immediately following that statement, a list of specific distros is given. Obviously that list does not include all distros.

So, which am I to believe: a) that "generally, all 2.4 and 2.6 kernels work" or b) just those listed

There are a few 2.6 kernel distros I would like to have as guest OS but they are not included in that list.

Thanks. :?:

"Generally, all 2.4 and 2.6 kernels work" Pretty much says it all.

The list of Guest OSs are ones that have been tested and known to work, but may have an exception like no guest additions.
