[Solved] dpkg error on debian etch install

Hello,

when I try to install virtualbox 3 on my debian system, I've this error :

Exactly how are you installing it, did you get an error during download? You might want to download the .deb from the website and install it manually using dpkg -i VirtualBox*.deb.

I've tried 2 things :

* apt-get install virtualbox-3.0

* and wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... h_i386.deb
dpkg -i virtualbox-3.0_3.0.4-50677_Debian_etch_i386.deb


but still same issue..........

Strange that the repo and wget didn't work. Maybe there's a bug in wget that causes the files to get corrupted under certain circumstances.
You are up and running now, right?

I've just retried 5 minutes ago........ and I've begin thes install yesterday night ( 16 hours ago)

I've resolved my pb with this :

# wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/3.0.4/VirtualBox-3.0.4-50677-Linux_x86.run
# chmod +x VirtualBox-3.0.4-50677-Linux_x86.run
# ./VirtualBox-3.0.4-50677-Linux_x86.run
