Home Stretch (OpenSolaris guest/ Windows 7 host)

Post by PGHammer »

I'm officially in the home stretch with the latest build (118) of OpenSolaris (targeted for a 2010 release). So far, VB 3.0.4 has no problems supporting this build as a guest. The only item left to configure is the *audio*. (I have the default audio set in the guest to Intel AC97; should I leave this intact, or change this to Sound Blaster 16?)

The Guest Additions are already installed; if I make the audio change, will I have to reinstall the Guest Additions?

(PS: Though neither OpenSolaris or Solaris normally supports 16:9 in VMs, the OS VM has auto-adjusted to a 16:9 resolution set by window adjustments (I have a 1920x1080 NI host display, which means that a 16:9 display for VMs is preferable.).)
