full usb connect - how to run nokia pcsuite on virtualbox

Hy i have problem - i need synchronize phone with nokia pcsuite - (im look for other soft but not support my phone)
i install pcsuite on windows in virtualbox and run fine but i cant share phone (usb connect beacose is not in my devides list in linux so i cant select it in vbox settings)
is possible to allow for virtualbox to direct connect to usb ? or mayby other idea to connect this phone to virtualbox ?

I think they are referring to the fact virtualbox does not see the device even if the filter is set. I am facing a similar issue trying to get a clients ipod shuffle to work. I set a filter but it wont let the guest machine use it. So maybe I will try the empty filter and see if that helps. By the way would you have any more advice in regards to usb devices? I would greatly appreciate any help thanks!

Other then whats in the FAQ's I'd say be extreemly patient when passing on a device, sometimes it can take minutes before a Guest has finished detecting and installing all kinds of stuff and when you don't give that enough time you have to roll back to a restore point and start again, also rebooting between the Guest installing components helps especially when the device is getting detected in stages.

I think I may have found a solution for my issue seeing as we are running Ubuntu Jaunty and the link here describes what you must do to get USB working. Ill post a reply so maybe that will help the original poster with their problem.

ok thanks i update virtualbox to v3 version (non ose) and it works fine.
