These are getting annoying but for the life of me I caqn't find where to turn the lil buggers off! I'd appreciate a tip or two! Thanx

That depends.
Sounds are controlled by the OS that you are running. No way for anyone to be able to tell you. You have nothing in your profile and you tell us nothing about the system.

I have all sounds off in 7, could be coming from one of the OSs. I'll check deeper!
