mouse issues
My mouse doesn't like to stay in my virtual box. Like it would jump out of the virtual machine. I am new to this software.

Re: mouse issues
Does the mouse cursor leave a copy of itself behind in the VM window? If so then that is normal behavour. In effect you have two PCs sharing one mouse, though each PC has its own mouse cursor.
When you click on a VM window then ownership of the mouse is transferred to the VM. The mouse cursor appears in its last known location inside the VM window, and the host mouse cursor is hidden.
If you then hit the CTRL key, ownership of the mouse is returned to the host, the host mouse cursor becomes visible (so you now see two mouse cursors though the VMs one is frozen) while the host one is free to move anywhere on the host screen - including over the VM window.
Behaviour of the mouse becomes more intuitive once you've installed the Guest Additions (one mouse, no jumps). The GAs are only available for certain operating systems, i.e. those based on Windows NT, and various Linux distros.

Re: mouse issues
Did you install the Guest Additions? If not, then click the "Devices" menu at the top of the VMs window, then select "Install Guest Additions...". Make sure there is no CD already mounted when you do this.
