Hello,

I know - it was surely quite stupid to install the "Guest" Extensions on the "Host" System.
Nevertheless it has happened.
Now I run in a BSOD every time I logon on my Host System.
Even in save mode of WinXP I run into BSOD after typing in my user and pw.
What can I do to remove the Guest Extension from Host System?
Every Help is very appreciated.

Please help a little stupid guy.

Regards,
gzander

Boot with a linux CD like knoppix and manually rename the GA drivers, it should boot with a few errors.

Thanks for the answer!
Where can I find the GA driver? In ...\Windows\System32 ?
How do they call, GA{...}.drv?

If you look in the \windows\system32 folder you should see a bunch of files called "vbox??????", with various file extensions. They probably all have the same date time stamp, which is another way to recognize them. You also need to check the windows\system32\drivers folder.

Hello mpack,

after renaming all mentioned files I could start Windows - but without Touchpad/Trackpoint and without Network.
I installed the drivers but it won't work.
Fortunately I found a recently created system restore point and I successfully went back to this point.
Now everything is working fine - and meanwhile I installed the Guest Extensions successfully on the Guest System!

Thanks again for the help.
