[Solved] Hiding the toolbox

Some people might like the auto-hide feature of the toolbox where it pops up when your mouse moves to the bottom of the screen. I find this very annoying as I will naturally move my pointer around there when I want to access a different window. Is there a way to hide the toolbox more permanently, so it only displays if you press Home+(Something)?

You can disable the toolbar from the VM settings. VM Settings > General > tab Advanced. Untick the checkbox.

I've been trying to understand what toolbar you are referring to. I do see a brief display of somthing at the bottom when I go into seamless mode but after that nothing. What do you do to get it to work? I've enabled it in VM Settings, but still nothing. Does it work if I have my XP bar hidden?

When you move your mouse cursor near the bottom of the VM window, it should slide into view. The task bar should not cover it. There is a pin on it that allows you to keep it in view all the time.

Or just disable it and use (host+home) to bring up the VBox menu in full or seamless mode. :D

Nothing happens when I move my cursor near the bottom of the window. With the exception of my XP bar slides up. But I even tried with it not being autohidden. It's not a big deal because I can still access the menu by using R-ctl Home. I'm just curious.

I see we have a bug here. I get the same thing, no toolbar is shown when it's at the bottom. When at the top though, it's shown all the time. It starts right below my panel, and when I want to make it appear, it comes down and is below my panel with some space between the toolbar and panel. In fullscreen, it works as it should, just not in seamless. You might want to change the toolbar setting so it's on the top instead of bottom.
