XP guest, no mouse/KB

Post by fun_4_me_now »

Hello.

I am trying to migrate an xp install from a dying laptop into Virttualvox under vista.

I am curently using 3.0.4. I have managed to transfer it and get it to boot, but cannot login because the mouse an kb don;t recognize.

I am stuck, anyone know what to do next?

Safemode? send cad via the GUI works? use VRDP/RDP? its probably the firsttime login you need which isn't working.

Just have some patience when you boot the VM. It's best to have the logon screen and not let Windows log you on automatically. While you're at the logon screen, the drivers are installed automatically in the background and in a few minutes you should have keyboard and mouse.
