[Solved] USB Problem

Post by jznomoney »

Every time I try to mount a usb device on my Windows 7 machine I get this error:

Result Code:
E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057)

And eventually it does not list any usb device available for mounting.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Your profile indicates that you are using the OSE version of VirtualBox.

The OSE version does not support USB. Only the PUEL version does.

I figured out my problem. It seem that the driver from amd for my motherboard installed a filter drive on the usb port which messed with not only virtualbox but any other virtual machine that could access usb ports. After I uninstalled the usb filter driver my usb ports worked fine in virtualbox.
