By using a router/firewall as a VM, plenty of topics to be found here about setting this up.

I suppose you should use Bridge for your guestVM and use seperate IP for it and after setup firewall for your needs.

Thanks, bridged mode, as far as i know it creates a virtual network card, so i need to forward the ports to my physical card and setup port forwarding through vboxmanage? ive already done that but for some reason it hasnt worked. can you elighten me?

Bridged no longer creates a virtual interface, the physical one is used directly instead. You do need a router before you're able to use bridged, because if you connect the PC to your internet modem directly, you won't have internet on the Guest. On the router, you forward ports to the IP of the Guest.
