My scenario:
XP host with ubuntu 8.04 guest
My XP system has a lan connection, and an aircard (wireless) connection.
I can set up the guest networking to use bridged adapter with lan, but if I try to tell it to use the aircard I get the aforementioned error.
I've tried repairing the install already but no change. If there is another way to do this, I'm fine with that.
All I'm trying to do is to have ubuntu using the aircard and XP using the lan. I can't install the aircard directly on ubuntu because my USB isn't recognized for some reason.
Thanks in advance

Re: Failed to open/create the internal network
Maybe the same solution (I'll check soon) but definitely not the same problem. Thanks for the link... any other ideas in the meantime?
EDIT: Not sure what he means by removing "all traces of the vb host-only adapter". Is it okay to just disable it on the host? Or do I really have to remove it?
