I have installed the Sims on a virtualized XP, an the game seems to work but the mouse does not appear, or stays still.
DirectX is activated, and i tried to play with no mouse integration (after trying withe the integration activated). So i suspect it's just a virtualbox mouse problem.
How can i fix this ?

Re: Running the Sims (1st game) in VirtualBox 3.0.4
I managed to get the original Sims working under VirtualBox. One thing to note is that the game does not use Direct3D and only needs DirectDraw. Because of this, it would be best to disable 3D Acceleration in the VM Settings. Most mouse issues are related to the 3D acceleration components. Also be sure to install the VM Additions to have the correct display and mouse drivers installed in the VM.
When I ran the game in VirtualBox before, I also ran it in a Windows 200 Pro VM, this may make a different, or may not. It is worth noting though.

It works !
But i can't use the guest additions in 3.0.x VirtualBox series, because the mouse does not appear, whatever the 3D acceleration settings are.
I think it's a bug, so wait and see...
