[Solved] WINDOWS warning

Greetings

I am new here, a big hello to the moderators and members of this forum :)

We tried to install Virtual Box for our Jumpbox/Joomla project developments. At the end of our installation we got a warning saying;

"The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabalize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now ... "

Is this another Bill Gates scare strategy or what do you suggest!

We run Windows XP-PRO SP2

Thank you

Who cares what microsoft wants. It's just scare. They want every hardware driver to be certified by them which takes times and costs money. Just go ahead and install it.

Hello again

Installed Virtualbox (VB) and tried to add JUMPBOX (JB)so I could migrate Joomla. However, it appears that VB and JB don't work together on a Windows platform.

Do you have any past experience and IF ... how do I go through the setup/configuration in order to add JB to VB and get JB working with Joomla?

Thank you

Probably not possible. It's often impossible to run a virtualizer inside a virtualizer.

Well, That"s too bad. JOOMLA says it is possible AND, they even give you a choice to select WINDOWS ...

(Well, Joomla don't necessarily mean this but rather mean you shouldn't use Windows and though, give you the choice anyway. It looks much better for them and they have many more chances to spread their piece of crap if they tell the people you can use it anywhere you want, isn't it? For me that's nothing but a CHEAP CON!)! :!:

Issue is solved, this is a new thing and for this thing:
Virtualization inside a virtualizer, discussions, continue there.
