[VB 3.0.4, NAT] Can't ping host server by name.
Posted: 7. Aug 2009, 16:12
Virtual Box 3.0.4 64 bit
Host OS: Windows 2003 Server SP2 64bit
Guest OS: Windows XP SP3 32 bit
Using NAT.
If I add an entry to the hosts file in the guest OS, then I can ping the host OS server by name.
But, my REAL problem is:
I am trying to run .NET desktop client application in the guest that connects to SQL Server which is installed on the host OS.
The server connectivity works fine because the same application installed on other computers on the network can connect.
It's just the guest OS in VB that cannot connect !!
Anyone else has this issue? What is the resolution?
