Re: Unable to get Windows XP connected (confused at documents)
Well I'm out of ideas now but I will try this myself on a linux machine to see how it goes.

My way: "You live as long as you learn".

Ok in one way sorry. It works fine for me without needing to do anything extra. And the network card is not put into promiscuos mode.
Do you run anything "odd" network wise in your host. Vpn-client extra firewall IDS or anything like that?
Or can you think of anything else like that that you have installed?

On the host after starting your xp-guest (in briged mode for eth0) what does
lsmod |grep vbo
give? I just want to see that all modules gets loaded as they should.
Another idea try making one more guest and this time a live linux distro.
Does that work with bridging eth0?
Oh one more idea change the type of network card to intel 1000T/server.
You may need to download the drivers first.

Switched to bridge to eth0.
Used intel 1000T/server downloaded installation file, recognized Intel(R) PPRO/1000 T Server Adapter and installed driver.
Windows XP is unable to connect; network Status is limited or no connectivity.

Re: Unable to get Windows XP connected (confused at documents)
upgraded my Virtualbox to latest ubuntu repo, finally got it working!!!
Moved Spiceworks to Windows XP guest from Windows 2000, they noticed the performance increase!
Oddly enough, it is running on single processor (My old quad server do not support VT-x), and Windows 2000 on dual.
Now I finally can get rid of that OLD machine!
Thanks y'all!!
