Running Server in VirtualBox, can't be seen from Outside?

Let's say I would like to run FTP server on Guest OS.
I need the Server to be able to be seen from Outside wold (i.e. Host PC or Internet).
I would like Host OS and Guest OS to be on the same Subnet and Network Segment.
Based on the Manual, I choose the Networking type"Bridged Networking"

Problem is I cannot "See" the Guest OS Server from Outside world, not even from Host OS.
It's not firewall issue, no firewall running on either OS.

What have I done wrong??

Does the Guest have proper IP settings?

Certainly, I have put in correct IP Address, same Subnet, AND Same gateway as the Host.

Another thing is, I just found out that I also can't access Internet if I put in this manual IP Setting, while Host OS can access Internet fine.
I can't ping the host from guest, and vice versa.
What could have I done wrong?

I thought this bridged is as simple to setup just like connecting two different PC on a Switch? (Or I am wrong?)
Otherwise can anyone briefly explain what do to do setup bridged networking?

Reinstall VBox and select repair, sounds like the bridge drivers are'nt working properly.
