Unreadable Login Screen after installing guest additions

Post by kollcook »

Hi I'm running Windows XP host on a Lenovo T500 laptop with a Fedora 10 guest. Everything installs fine until I install the guest additions. Then the login screen is unreadable (all the pixels are shifted around, I can still tell that it is the login screen though). I've tried going to fullscreen Host+F and then resizing the guest Host+G. I've also tried resizing the window and pressing Host+G. It is still messed up.

If I press the right keystrokes to login, then the system logs in correctly, but the pixels are still messed up. Once logged in though, I can go to fullscreen Host+F and everything clears itself up. I've tried this setup with a previous version of Virtual Box (2.something), on a differerent computer and it worked fine.

Any ideas?

Maybe I'll try version 2.2.4.
