I am new to VB. I used Parallels in my Enterprise installation the past two years. I had the same issue with Parallels and knew how to fix it. So far, I have not seen the solution in VB. I am assuming that VB is setting the same MAC address in each installation like Parallels did. How do I clear this so it will generate a different MAC address for each machine.
Thank you for your time.

Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Re: Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Look at the Guest network adapter settings, thats where you set a fixed address of use dhcp.

Re: Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Thank you. I saw that. I assume I want no DHCP and no address as we have a DHCP server on our network to assign IP addresses. I did clear these values on two machines and still had the conflict.
Re: Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Then your lan dhcp is issuing the same address to the Host/Guests because it see's your Host and VM's as one machine instead of different machines or your lan connection is limited to one ip address.

Re: Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
OK. I will look into that. This is the third year we have run a Windows guest OS with an OS X host and other than Parallels configuring itself with the same MAC address on each machine, we had no issues. VB is the only change. Thanks.
Re: Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Look into using NAT with VBox, you won't have this problem then.

Re: Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Thanks. And we did use NAT before. Is that easy to see in the adapter settings? Thanks!!!

[Solved] Duplicate IP Addresses in Windows Guest environment
Looks like we are golden. I have four all logged in. No issues. Thank you for your quick response to this question. I have 105 to set up. I am liking what I see so far with VB.
