USB difficulty with Version 3.0.4

USB difficulty with Version 3.0.4
I am seeking help with Virtual box version 3.0.4 with regard to getting the client to accept USB 2.0 thumb drive. The client is running Windows XP professional SP2 while the host is running Vista 32 Home Premium. Windows XP Professional will usually accept USB 2.0 thumb drives. Under version 2.2.4 the USB 2.0 thumb drives were automatically recognized by the same client. However, the upgrade to version 3.0.4 has changed that auto acceptance of USB 2.0 Thumb drives to some diffcult manual process. So, the users manual speaks of filters and etc. i just want to return to the automatic acceptance. how can this be accomplished again?
